Vai-Vai selects six sambas for Carnaval 2027 quarter-finals

The Vai-Vai samba school has concluded the first phase of its samba-enredo competition for Carnaval 2027. Six sambas have successfully qualified for the quarter-finals following two preliminary rounds: the ‘Chave Branca’ held on August 16 and the ‘Chave Preta’ held on August 23.

The winning song will represent the school during the parade titled ‘3 Obás de Xangô – A Mãe Bahia em Cantos, Cores e Memórias’, a theme developed by carnival designers Alexandre Louzada and Victor Santos.

The competition schedule continues with the quarter-finals on August 30, the semi-final on September 6, and the grand final on September 13.
