Vaibhav Suryavanshi eyes Duleep Trophy glory in East Zone vs South Zone final

The Duleep Trophy final will be contested between East Zone and South Zone from September 6 to September 10. Originally scheduled for Bengaluru, the match has been moved to the M A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai to facilitate better spectator attendance.

East Zone, captained by Ishan Kishan, reaches the final for the first time in 14 years, having last won the title in the 2012-13 season. South Zone, led by Tilak Varma, seeks to avenge their loss in last season's final.

Attention is focused on 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the East Zone vice-captain, following his significant performance in the semifinals where he scored 92 and 40 runs. Former Indian captain Krishnamachari Srikkanth has praised Suryavanshi's explosive batting, suggesting that with proper guidance, the youngster has the potential to become a world cricket superstar.
