VakıfBank volleyball leaders discuss season goals and World Championship favorites

VakıfBank Women's Volleyball Team has held its first press meeting of the season following their AXA Sigorta Super Cup victory. Head coach Giovanni Guidetti expressed satisfaction with the team's morale and the balance between experienced stars and young talents in the new roster.

Guidetti noted that the team is aiming to compete for five trophies this season. He highlighted the development of young players like Aylin and the continued contributions of key veterans such as Boskovic, Zehra, and Cansu. Regarding past successes, Guidetti stated he is focused on the present rather than looking back at the 2022 season.

General Manager Banu Can Schürmann identified VakıfBank and Eczacıbaşı Peron İstanbul as the favorites for the upcoming FIVB Club World Championship, scheduled to take place in São Paulo, Brazil, from December 8–13. Schürmann reported that the squad is currently in good health, with minor physical maintenance being managed by the medical staff.
