Vakka-Suomi launches three business clusters to drive regional growth

A new economic vitality cluster project in Vakka-Suomi, Finland, is moving from the ideation phase into active implementation. The initiative, led by Novida and Turku University of Applied Sciences (Turun ammattikorkeakoulu), aims to establish three distinct clusters focusing on the food industry, technology, and energy sectors.

The project seeks to bolster regional vitality by building a shared brand, increasing marketing efforts, expanding market areas for local businesses, and improving product development. To achieve these goals, the project operates through four specialized groups: brand, future, communication, and network groups.

Project leaders emphasize that the initiative is open to all local companies. Participation allows businesses to access support from educational institutions for cooperation, marketing, and development. The project has already held seven workshops to gather input and is now transitioning to testing the ideas generated during those sessions.
