A new boarding school named Harmonie has been inaugurated in Sucy-en-Brie, located in the Val-de-Marne department. Designed for children aged 4 to 9 with specific needs, the facility provides specialized support for those with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders.
The facility has a capacity of 10 places and is currently hosting eight children. It is staffed by a multidisciplinary team including 12 educators, three night watchmen, a house mother, and a psychologist. Olivier Capitanio, president of the Val-de-Marne Department, stated that the creation of this boarding school aims to evolve child protection to better meet the complex needs of the children entrusted to the community.
