Val di Sangro Expo to feature 200 companies in Atessa

The third edition of the Val di Sangro Expo is scheduled to take place from September 17 to 20 in Atessa. The event will feature approximately 200 companies across 17,000 square meters of exhibition space, including 5,000 square meters of indoor area.

Atessa Mayor Giulio Borrelli presented the event, emphasizing its role as a platform for the Val di Sangro region to act as a unified economic system. He noted that while the area is a significant driver of the regional economy in Abruzzo and Central Italy—particularly within the automotive sector—it has historically suffered from a lack of public investment and political recognition despite its economic weight.

The Expo aims to serve as more than a commercial fair; it is intended as a space for dialogue between businesses, institutions, political forces, and trade unions to address current industrial and economic transformations. According to Vice Mayor Enzo Orfeo, 12% of the participating companies are new this year, while 94% of previous participants have returned.
