Valais Cantonal Police holds swearing-in ceremony in Sitten

Thirty-five men and women officially took their oaths during a ceremony held at the Sitten Cathedral in the Valais canton. The group included 22 police trainees who completed their two-year training, six recently joined police officers, and seven administrative staff members.

This event marked the first swearing-in ceremony conducted under the leadership of the new commander of the Valais Cantonal Police, Frédéric Gisler. Of the 22 trainees, 16 will join the Cantonal Police, while six will join municipal police forces.

The ceremony was attended by various political, religious, and military figures, as well as representatives from security forces in Switzerland, France, and Italy.
