Valašské Meziříčí to open new riverfront promenade

Valašské Meziříčí is set to host the official opening of its new riverfront promenade on the Rožnovská Bečva on September 30. The project, which follows nearly a year of construction, aims to revitalize the city center by creating a space for relaxation, social gatherings, and future markets.

The renovated area features wooden seating stairs, new greenery, public lighting, and facilities for a future municipal market. The project also included the restoration of historical elements, such as the statue of Saint Libor and a cross dating back to 1775. The first stage of the development cost approximately 45 million CZK, with architectural designs provided by Chybík + Krištof.
