Valdinievole Community Hospital inaugurated in Monsummano Terme
The Valdinievole Community Hospital has been officially inaugurated in Monsummano Terme, Italy. Managed by Azienda USL Toscana Centro, the facility provides 20 beds dedicated to intermediate care, designed to support patients who require continuous medical attention but do not need acute hospital hospitalization.
The project involved the renovation of a former nursing home, expanding the structure to approximately 1,150 square meters across two floors. The facility includes 11 rooms, consisting of nine doubles and two singles. The total investment for the project was 4.37 million euros, with 3.50 million euros sourced from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and 873,860 euros from other public resources.
Patient admissions are scheduled to begin in November. The inauguration ceremony was attended by regional and local officials, including the President of the Tuscany Region, Eugenio Giani.
