Vale launches new digital platform for passenger trains

Vale has launched a new digital platform designed to streamline ticket purchases and information access for its passenger train services. The new portal acts as a content hub, directing users to specific pages for the Vitória a Minas Railway (EFVM) and the Carajás Railway (EFC).

In addition to travel guidance and service information, the platform provides details on social, cultural, and developmental initiatives supported by the company along these routes. One notable update is the EFVM ‘Holiday Train’, which began operating daily night trips during peak seasons—January, July, and December—starting in 2026.

The Vitória a Minas Railway remains the only long-distance passenger train in Brazil with daily circulation, connecting numerous municipalities across Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. In 2025, the service recorded approximately 860,000 passengers.
