Vale Nihon Matsuri festival to celebrate Japanese and Korean culture in Campos do Jordão

The 12th edition of the Vale Nihon Matsuri festival will take place at Parque Capivari in Campos do Jordão from August 27 to 30. The event celebrates Japanese and South Korean cultures through a variety of free activities, including music, dance, gastronomy, and interactive performances.

Japanese cultural highlights include taikô drum performances, odori dancing, karaoke, and musical sets by artists such as Midori & Mayumi and Ricardo Nakase. South Korean influence will be represented through K-pop cover groups and dance competitions. The festival coincides with the local cherry blossom season, an effort aimed at diversifying the city's tourism beyond the traditional winter season.
