Valença, Bahia, opens recruitment for 30 Municipal Guard positions

The municipality of Valença, Bahia, has released a public notice for a municipal guard recruitment process. The contest offers 30 permanent positions for 3rd Class Municipal Guards.

Applications are open from August 19 to September 2, 2026, via the internet. The selection process, managed by the Instituto Brasileiro de Pesquisa Tecnologia Ensino e Ciência (IBPTEC), requires a high school diploma. The initial base salary is R$ 2,334.10 for a 40-hour work week, with an additional 30% life risk premium for operational staff.

The selection process includes six stages: an objective exam, medical exams, a physical fitness test, psychological evaluation, social and documentary investigation, and a training course. The objective exam is scheduled for October 11. Of the 30 vacancies, 19 are for general competition, two are reserved for people with disabilities, and nine are for Black, mixed-race, Indigenous, and Quilombola candidates. The notice also mandates that at least 30% of the final staff must be female.
