Spanish regional governments allocate over €600,000 to university and vocational education programs
The Generalitat Valenciana announced a €100,000 grant programme for Valencian universities to support research, publications and events on the region's self‑government, Statute of Autonomy, Valencian Civil Law and cultural identity during 2026. Applications must be submitted electronically within one month of the official notice and the awards will be awarded competitively.
The Basque Government approved a €500,000 co‑financing scheme for international mobility of vocational‑training students and teachers under the Erasmus+ programme for the 2026‑27 academic year. The funding aims to boost innovation and European exchange by covering travel and project costs, with a similar one‑month electronic application window.
Both initiatives are part of regional efforts to strengthen higher and vocational education, foster research on local identity, and increase European collaboration.
