Valencia approves 112 new residential units to boost housing supply

The Valencia City Council has granted urban planning licences for three new residential buildings in the districts of El Cabanyal‑El Canyamelar, Torrefiel and the suburb of Massarrojos. The projects will add 12, 56 and 44 free‑price apartments respectively, bringing the total of newly approved dwellings to 112. Together with a recently approved 82‑unit development on San Vicente Mártir, the municipality now has 194 new homes authorized.

Urban Planning and Housing councillor Juan Giner said the licences are part of Mayor María José Catalá’s strategy to increase the city’s housing stock, noting the use of aerothermy and photovoltaic installations for energy efficiency and a 70 % reduction in average licence processing times since the start of the current term.
