Valencia Basket adds Nigerian forward Balogun and two European signings
Valencia Basket confirmed that Nigerian‑born forward Elizabeth Balogun, a former Georgia Tech, Louisville and Duke player who has competed for Nigeria in AfroBasket and Olympic qualifiers, will join the Spanish club on a multi‑year contract for the 2025‑26 season. Balogun previously played in Spain with CB Bembibre and in France with Charnay and Landerneau, averaging double‑digit points and solid rebounding numbers.
The club also completed medical examinations and officially signed Spanish wing Helena Pueyo (25) to a contract covering the 2026‑27 and 2027‑28 seasons, and Hungarian centre Virág Kiss (28) to a deal for the 2026‑27 campaign. Both players cleared full health checks at the Quirónsalud centre, finalising Valencia Basket’s ongoing roster rebuild ahead of the next national and EuroCup women’s competitions.
