Valencia Basket defeats Fenerbahce in EuroLeague victory
Valencia Basket secured a significant 86-78 victory against Fenerbahce in the EuroLeague, bringing their record to 6-2. Despite a late surge from the Turkish side that narrowed the gap to a single point late in the fourth quarter, Valencia maintained composure to seal the win at the Roig Arena.
TJ Shorts led the Spanish team with 23 points, supported by Armoni Brooks and Kameron Taylor, who each contributed 16 points. Coach Xavi Albert praised the team's competitive character and defensive growth, noting their ability to adapt when the game became physically demanding.
Fenerbahce’s comeback attempt was led by Wade Baldwin IV with 19 points and Shavon Shields with 18 points, but Valencia's performance in the paint and at the free-throw line proved decisive.
