Valencia celebrates Fallas festivities and local traditions

Valencia hosted a series of major Fallas festival events, including the Trinidad Alfonso Zurich Valencia Half Marathon, where Fallera Mayor Beatriz Blanco Tamarit participated in the race start.

Several traditional ceremonies were held, including the VIII edition of the Homenaje a Joan Blasco and tributes to the Reial Senyera. The Agrupació de Falles del Marítim and the Agrupació de Falles Turia both conducted ceremonies to honor the regional flag, with some events having been previously postponed due to heavy rainfall.

In Alzira, Claudia Gomis Sanmartín and María Benedito Iborra were officially proclaimed as the new Falleras Mayores during a solemn municipal session led by Mayor Alfons Domínguez.
