Valencia celebrates Holy Chalice Jubilee with religious procession and music
Valencia is holding significant events to mark the conclusion of the III Eucharistic Jubilee Year of the Holy Chalice of Hope. A monumental monstrance from the Valencia Cathedral was featured in an extraordinary procession through the Plaza de la Virgen, accompanied by an extraordinary Eucharist presided over by Archbishop Enrique Benavent.
During the celebrations, Archbishop Benavent emphasized the importance of social commitment, calling on the faithful to support migrants, the elderly, and those living in poverty or isolation. He noted that the Jubilee should translate spiritual hope into tangible acts of charity.
To conclude the Jubilee year, which runs through October 29, 2026, the City Council has organized a free concert by the Christian music group Hakuna. The performance is scheduled for the morning of October 25 in the Plaza de la Reina, aiming to connect the religious tradition of the Holy Chalice with younger generations and the wider public.
