Valencia CF and UE Tavernes match moved to Mestalla Stadium

Valencia CF and UE Tavernes de la Valldigna have confirmed that their Copa del Rey first-round match will be played at Mestalla Stadium on Wednesday, October 28, at 21:00. Although UE Tavernes was originally scheduled to host the match at their municipal field, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) determined the venue did not meet the necessary requirements for the fixture.

UE Tavernes had initially explored options to host the game by adding temporary seating to increase capacity from 1,800 to 5,000, but the move to Mestalla was ultimately finalized. Valencia CF will play the match as the visiting team despite the venue change. The club will meet with UE Tavernes officials to coordinate match operations and ticket distribution.

In a separate Copa del Rey fixture, the match between Sporting de Hortaleza and Sevilla will also see a change of venue. The game will be moved from the Hortaleza municipal sports center to the Estadio Municipal El Val in Alcalá de Henares on Thursday, October 29, at 21:00.
