Valencia CF faces fan backlash over ticket price hikes tied to debt with Goldman Sachs

The supporters group Libertad VCF accused Valencia CF on 9 June 2026 of misleading fans about the 2026‑27 season‑ticket campaign. While the club publicly announced a price freeze, the association says ticket fees for shareholder members rose between 5 % and 10 % – above inflation.

Libertad VCF links the increase to Valencia CF’s financing structure: a €237 million bond issuance and a total cost of about €624 million for the operation, with all stadium revenues pledged to service debt owed to Goldman Sachs. The dispute comes as the club prepares for its final season at Mestalla before moving to a new stadium, heightening tensions between the Singapore‑owned leadership and the fan base.
