Valencia CF suffers 3-1 defeat to Deportivo amid injury crisis

Valencia CF suffered a 3-1 defeat against RC Deportivo de A Coruña at the ABANCA-Riazor, a result that leaves the team in the relegation zone of LaLiga. Despite a goal from Umar Sadiq, Valencia struggled significantly, particularly in a first half described by manager Carlos Corberán as “vergonzoso” (shameful).

Following the match, Corberán apologized to the fans, taking full responsibility for the performance and citing a lack of attitude and concentration. Players including Luis Rioja and goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski also expressed frustration, criticizing the squad's lack of competitiveness and intensity.

The defeat is compounded by a serious injury to striker Umar Sadiq, who suffered a significant hamstring tear. Sadiq could be sidelined for several months, further depleting a squad already facing depth issues with other injuries to players like Guido Rodríguez and Justin De Haas.
