Valencia CF launches new VCF Academy in Mexico City and adds UD Alginet to its program
Valencia Club de Fútbol will open a new VCF Academy in Mexico City on 1 September, marking the latest step in its rapid growth in Mexico. Academy director Alejandra Maffey said the club aims to "paint all of Mexico orange" and highlighted the "exponential" expansion of its projects, which already include a second‑year academy in Morelia and VCF Camps across the country.
In Spain, historic club UD Alginet, founded in 1934, will join the VCF Schools programme for the 2026‑27 season. The partnership brings the total of clubs affiliated with Valencia CF’s development network to around fifty, reinforcing the initiative’s goal of extending Valencian football culture, retaining talent and boosting training resources in the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia.
