Valencia CF manager Javier Aguirre focuses on squad depth and youth integration

Valencia CF manager Javier Aguirre is addressing the team's scoring struggles and squad rotation as the club seeks to move away from relegation positions. The manager is prioritizing the integration of academy players who have been part of the first-team dynamics but have lacked competitive minutes.

Aguirre has communicated to youth players such as Mayol, Otorbi, Aimar, and Córdoba that they must receive playing time. He has indicated that if they do not feature for the first team, they will be assigned to play with the reserve side, Mestalla Mayol, to ensure they maintain competitive rhythm.

In injury news, striker Umar Sadiq is nearing a return from a right hamstring injury sustained in late August. While he has participated in warm-ups, he is not expected to be ready for the upcoming derby against Villarreal. The club aims to have him training fully with the group next week, with a potential return for the match against Elche.
