Valencia CF pursues transfers and stadium tributes

Valencia CF is actively managing its squad ahead of the new La Liga season through several transfer and promotional initiatives. The club is nearing a deal to sign right-back Pablo Maffeo on loan from Olympiacos, a move that includes a non-mandatory purchase option of 3 million euros. This acquisition aims to address defensive vacancies following injuries and departures.

Simultaneously, negotiations continue for defender Arnau Martínez. While Valencia has reached an agreement on personal terms with the 23-year-old, a final deal with Girona FC remains pending as the clubs negotiate a price close to his 8 million euro release clause. English club Fulham has also expressed interest in Martínez, potentially complicating the transfer.

Off the pitch, Valencia is launching the ‘Mestalla és Etern’ campaign in collaboration with artist Lawerta. The project will feature custom posters for every home match this season to honor the history and culture of the Mestalla stadium during its final season before a move to a new venue.

Regarding season outlooks, Opta supercomputer simulations suggest Valencia has a 17.7% chance of qualifying for European competitions, placing them ahead of clubs like Celta Vigo in the predicted rankings.
