Valencia CF reaches agreement with Belgian right‑back Thomas Meunier

Valencia CF has reached a total economic agreement with Belgian international Thomas Meunier. The club will pay roughly €2 million gross per year, a salary already approved by both sides. The only remaining issue is the contract length – Meunier prefers a two‑year deal, while Valencia has not yet presented a formal offer.

Meunier will join Valencia on a free transfer after his contract with LOSC Lille ends on 30 June 2026. Valencia hopes to complete the signing before the 2026 World Cup, where Meunier is expected to feature for Belgium. The club views him as a key addition to the right‑back position, bringing elite experience without a transfer fee.
