Valencia CF secures 100 million euro capital injection

Valencia CF has announced a significant financial restructuring following an agreement with Pitchwise Holdings, a consortium of primarily American investors. The deal involves Pitchwise acquiring a 42% stake in the club, while Peter Lim and Meriton Holdings will retain majority control. The agreement includes a commitment to inject 100 million euros of new capital into the club.

General Director Javier Solís stated that the funds will be allocated toward both infrastructure improvements and the sporting squad. The injection is expected to bolster the club's financial flexibility for the winter transfer market. While the club's squad cost limit (LCPD) was reported at approximately 98.8 million euros in September, the new capital is expected to increase this margin.

Following the announcement, reports suggest Valencia may use its improved liquidity to pursue Sevilla FC player Miguel Sierra, whose release clause is valued at 20 million euros. Despite the financial boost, the club faces immediate sporting pressure as it currently sits in the relegation zone.
