Valencia CF travels to England's St. George's Park missing three players
Valencia CF set out for England on Monday to begin its second pre‑season concentration at St. George's Park, the English national team’s training centre. The club will share the complex with fellow LaLiga side Barcelona, both using the facilities during the same period.
The Valencian squad is without forward Sadiq Umar, who suffered a small muscle‑fibre rupture, defender Dimitri Foulquier, who remains in Valencia for knee‑injury rehabilitation, and right‑back Rubén Iranzo, who stays behind to recover from an ankle problem. While the injured players recover, Valencia will contest two closed‑door friendly matches: the first against Derby County at St. George's Park and a later fixture with Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium. The stage is intended to fine‑tune the team ahead of the upcoming league campaign.
