Valencia City Council to host monumental Christmas nativity scene

The Valencia City Council is preparing a monumental nativity scene in its Crystal Hall to celebrate the upcoming Christmas and Epiphany season. Designed by the Association of Nativity Scene Makers of Valencia, the 40-square-meter installation will feature traditional biblical scenes integrated with local Valencian heritage.

Key highlights of the display include a tribute to the 700th anniversary of the Corpus Christi festival in Valencia, featuring a carpentry workshop scene depicting the creation of a 'Roca'. Additionally, the installation will honor the 300th anniversary of the birth of Valencian painter José Vergara Gimeno through a scene inspired by his work. The display will be open to the public free of charge.
