MotoGP secures circuit extensions in Portugal and Italy

MotoGP has announced several major circuit contract renewals and calendar updates. The Algarve International Circuit in Portimão, Portugal, has secured its place on the championship calendar through at least 2029 following a three-year contract extension. This follows a record-breaking 2025 event that saw over 166,000 spectators.

In Italy, the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello has reached a five-year agreement to continue hosting the Italian Grand Prix through the end of the 2031 season. The renewal highlights the circuit's status as a spiritual home for the sport.

Additionally, the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain, has been confirmed as the season finale for the 2027 championship. The full 2027 calendar is expected to be released shortly, with the season set to begin at the Buriram International Circuit in Thailand.
