Valencia eyes Jamie Vardy signing as Sevilla seeks €20 million Rubén Vargas sale

Valencia CF are evaluating a free‑transfer deal for 39‑year‑old English striker Jamie Vardy. The former Premier League winner, who scored seven goals and provided two assists in 29 Serie A matches for relegated Cremonese, would join without a transfer fee, with only a signing bonus and salary on a short‑term contract that includes performance clauses.

Sevilla FC, meanwhile, are preparing to sell Swiss winger Rubén Vargas. The 27‑year‑old, who impressed at the 2026 World Cup, is being priced at around €20 million. Vargas, who has a contract with Sevilla until 2029, could bring the club a profit of roughly €17.5 million after accounting for his original €2.5 million transfer fee from Augsburg. The sale is intended to fund further squad reinforcements as Sevilla aims to compete in the Champions League.
