Valencia grants licenses for first 164 homes in Moncayo PAI project

The Valencia City Council has granted the first construction licenses for 164 homes within the Moncayo Integrated Action Program (PAI) in the La Raiosa neighborhood. This initial phase covers three plots that will yield developments of 82, 54, and 28 free-market housing units. The total project is expected to result in approximately 200 homes across an 8,564-square-meter area.

Urbanization works for the sector are now complete following an investment of approximately 1.58 million euros. The infrastructure improvements include over 4,951 square meters of public space, consisting of green zones, open spaces, and a pedestrian-priority road network. Amenities added to the area include five playgrounds, six outdoor fitness stations, 12 benches, 47 bicycle racks, and a fountain.

A significant outcome of the urban redevelopment was the removal of the so-called ‘sidewalk of death’ on Sant Vicent Màrtir Street. By demolishing certain structures, the narrow pedestrian passage was widened to approximately four meters, addressing a long-standing local demand for improved safety.
