Valencia health officials to host food safety webinar for restaurants

The Conselleria de Sanitat, through its Directorate-General for Public Health, has scheduled a free online training session for September 24 to promote hygiene practices within the hospitality and tourism sectors in the Valencian Community.

The webinar, running from 9:00 to 11:00, will focus on a newly released compliance manual developed by the Confederación Empresarial de Hostelería y Turismo de la Comunitat Valenciana (Conhostur). The guide has been evaluated and endorsed by the Directorate-General for Public Health to assist professionals in meeting current food safety regulations.

The session aims to help restaurant owners, cafe operators, and hotel staff implement effective self-control systems. These systems are designed to manage daily operational risks, such as temperature control, cross-contamination, and personal hygiene, ensuring compliance during routine health inspections.
