Valencia hosts conference on positive impact design projects

The Associació de Professionals del Disseny de la Comunitat Valenciana (ADCV) will host the V Positive Impact Design Conference on September 24 at Las Naves in Valencia. The event is supported by Valencia Innovation Capital.

The conference will feature professionals and teams recognized with the eighth edition of the ADCV Positive Impact Awards. Participants will share the processes, decisions, and results behind 17 projects that demonstrate how design can address societal challenges, such as increasing autonomy for the elderly, preserving historical memory, and repurposing waste materials into new resources.

ADCV President Ramón Arnau stated that these projects demonstrate that positive impact involves incorporating questions regarding resource use and social consequences from the very beginning of the design process rather than simply adding sustainability as a final layer.
