Valencia hosts diverse international sporting events through 2027

Valencia has established a robust schedule of international sporting events spanning from late 2026 through March 2027. The upcoming programming includes the Spain Sail Grand Prix in September, featuring F50 catamaran competitions at the Marina de Valencia, and the BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia WTA 125 tennis tournament. Other scheduled events include the 15K Nocturna Valencia Guanya Energia running race in October and the 52 Super Series Sailing Week.

The city's sports calendar also extends into early 2027 with the Copa del Rey de Voleibol and the European Athletics Indoor Championships. Local officials noted that these events are intended to provide economic, social, and sporting legacies for the city.

In the martial arts sector, Valencia recently hosted the Valencia Judo Training 2026 and the SuperCopa de España at the Universitat Politècnica de València. The event drew over 3,000 judokas from more than 60 countries. This included the 'New Generations' training camp for cadet athletes, which hosted 1,036 participants from 35 different nations.
