Valencia hosts historical camp recreating the era of Jaume I
A historical living history camp is being held at Parc Central in Valencia, recreating the final years of the reign of Jaume I the Conqueror and the Crown of Aragon during the 13th century.
The event, held on October 3 and 4, features historical reenactments of civil and military life. Activities include demonstrations of medieval weaponry, armor, clothing, and military techniques, as well as workshops on medieval writing and documentation.
The program is organized into four thematic areas: the expansion and conquest of the Crown of Aragon, the court and power spaces of Jaume I, 13th-century society, and military aspects such as foot combat and crossbowmen. The camp also explores the roles of the nobility, women, and military orders like the Knights Templar.
