Open Malva XVI beach volleyball tournament draws 362 players in Valencia

The sixteenth edition of the Open Malva beach‑volleyball tournament took place in Valencia on July 25‑26. A total of 362 participants competed, with 212 players on Saturday and 150 on Sunday. The event featured roughly 600 matches – 370 on the first day and 230 on the second – across 30 courts on Saturday and 18 on Sunday. Organisers introduced a mixed 2×2 category for the first time, which was well received. In total 12 podiums were awarded, producing 26 champions, 26 runners‑up and 26 third‑place finishers across senior and youth (U‑15, U‑17, U‑19) divisions. The tournament was staffed by 14 officials on Saturday and 10 on Sunday, supported by additional security, administration and communications personnel.
