Valencia launches tenders for sports and cultural infrastructure
The Valencia City Council has launched several public tenders for major infrastructure and cultural improvements within the city.
To prepare for the 2027 European Athletics Indoor Championships, the council has tendered a contract for the supply and installation of new climate control systems at the Velòdrom Lluís Puig. This project, valued at approximately 115,963 euros, is part of a broader 1.9 million euro renovation plan for the facility. This comprehensive upgrade includes the construction of a modular building, new sports flooring, and an updated electronic track elevation system to meet international competition standards.
Additionally, the city has opened the bidding process for the construction of the new Auditori de Benicalap. With a base budget of approximately 8.52 million euros, the 2,557-square-meter facility is designed to host large-scale concerts and rehearsals with advanced acoustic insulation. The building will serve as the new headquarters for the Valencia Municipal Symphony Band and features a main hall with a capacity for 425 spectators.
