Valencia manager Javier Aguirre praises Umar Sadiq

Valencia CF manager Javier Aguirre has lauded Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq, describing him as a “special player” and a “character” ahead of the club’s upcoming La Liga fixture against Real Madrid.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Aguirre highlighted Sadiq’s footballing intelligence, professionalism, and commitment to the team. The manager noted that while Sadiq has a unique and sometimes chaotic style of play, his frontal approach and heart are significant assets to the squad. Sadiq has recently recovered from a knee injury and is confirmed to be available for the match.

Aguirre also addressed the status of striker Hugo Duro, noting they had a private conversation and that the player appeared to be in good spirits. Looking ahead to the clash at Mestalla, Aguirre carries a positive historical record against Real Madrid, having defeated the side four times in 27 previous managerial encounters.
