Valencia official Vicent Mompó insults Minister Diana Morant

Vicent Mompó, president of the Diputación de Valencia, has sparked political controversy following an aggressive social media exchange with Minister Diana Morant. The conflict arose after Morant accused Mompó of knowing about preventive measures during the DANA flooding event in October 2024 but only notifying his inner circle.

Morpó responded on the platform X, criticizing Morant for appearing to prioritize media coverage over helping victims. In his reply, Mompó used insults, calling her ‘the daughter of Zapatero’ and ‘Sánchez’s ass-licker,’ while stating, ‘You are worth nothing.’

The PSPV (Socialist Party of the Valencian Country) has condemned the remarks, with party leaders demanding immediate apologies and characterizing the language as both aggressive and sexist.
