Valencia orchestras announce upcoming performances and solidarity concert

Several musical events are scheduled in the Valencia region of Spain. The Auditori de Torrent will inaugurate its autumn season on September 11 with a performance by the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana (OCV). Conducted by Anja Bihlmaier, the program includes Mussorgsky’s ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5.

Additionally, a solidarity concert titled ‘València i Veneçuela: unides per la música’ is set for July 2, 2027, at the Palau de la Música. Conducted by Gustavo Dudamel and featuring Venezuelan trumpeter Pacho Flores, the event serves as a tribute to Venezuela following recent earthquake damage. The concert will feature works by Hummel and Mahler, with proceeds intended to support those affected by the disaster.
