Valencia police arrest fugitive wanted for German attempted murder
Spanish National Police, in coordination with Europol and German authorities, have arrested a fugitive in Valencia, Spain, in connection with an attempted murder in Delmenhorst, Germany.
The attack occurred on the night of September 12–13, 2025, when a 48-year-old man riding an e-scooter was targeted by two individuals on a motorcycle. The assailants used an automatic weapon to fire multiple shots at the victim. Although the victim was seriously wounded, they survived following emergency surgery.
Investigations suggest the attack was a coordinated operation involving four individuals, each assigned specific roles. The suspect arrested in Valencia is believed to have been responsible for tracking the victim and participating in the execution of the attack. During searches of two residences where the fugitive was hiding, police seized three loaded handguns, electronic devices, and cash. The motive for the attack and the identity of the victim remain undisclosed.
