Valencia hosts Real Madrid for final La Liga match at Mestalla

Valencia CF prepares to host Real Madrid at the Mestalla stadium this Saturday for a La Liga fixture that holds historical significance. This match marks the final time the two clubs will face each other in a league game at the current Mestalla before Valencia moves to the Nou Mestalla in 2027.

Real Madrid enters the match in strong form, having secured seven consecutive wins across all competitions, including a recent Champions League victory over AEK Athens. Managed by Jose Mourinho, the team currently sits third in the La Liga table and is looking to close the gap on leaders Barcelona.

Valencia, managed by Javier Aguirre, currently occupies 19th place in the standings with nine points from 11 matches. The team is seeking its first home victory of the season to move away from the relegation zone. Aguirre faces several player absences due to injury, including David Otorbi and Diego Lopez, though Harvey Elliott may return from suspension.

Attendance for the match is expected to be high, with tickets already sold out. Estimates suggest a crowd of approximately 48,000 spectators could attend the historic encounter.
