Valencia police arrest multiple suspects in group assault, abuse, and racist attack cases

Several criminal incidents have been reported in the Valencia region. In Valencia city, the National Police arrested nine individuals, including two minors, for a group assault on a 20-year-old man. The victim was attacked with a baseball bat, a knife, and an air rifle on Avenida del Puerto, resulting in multiple injuries and hospitalization. One suspect has been placed in prison.

In a separate investigation, a 39-year-old substitute priest was arrested in May for the alleged sexual abuse of two minors who served as altar boys in a Valencia parish. The investigation, led by the National Police's Minor Group, follows a report from the victims' mother. The case is currently in the judicial instruction phase.

Additionally, the Civil Guard arrested five people, including two minors, in connection with racist attacks in Tavernes de la Valldigna. The incidents occurred during local festivities and targeted individuals of Maghrebi and Senegalese descent. One victim suffered a fractured jaw during the second attack.
