Valencia rainfall triggers memories of past flooding

Recent rainfall in Valencia has triggered memories of past flooding events, specifically the devastating DANA storm. The return of heavy rain and the flooding of roads and tunnels have resurfaced the collective fear and caution experienced by residents during previous natural disasters.

Local communities continue to live with the physical and psychological marks of past floods, using historical markers in town squares to remember the reach of previous surges. While modern mobile alerts provided timely warnings during the recent weather, the event served as a reminder of the enduring impact of seasonal torrential rains on the region.
