Valencia reopens Pérez Galdós Avenue lanes after year of construction

Pérez Galdós Avenue in Valencia is reopening its four traffic lanes following more than a year of construction. The reopening is a provisional measure intended to alleviate traffic pressure on one of the city's primary western arteries ahead of the upcoming school year.

While the full remodeling project is not yet complete, the reopening will restore two lanes in each direction for much of the avenue. The tunnel section will maintain a different configuration while work continues. The city council accelerated this phase to improve circulation during peak hours as students return to school.
