Valencia sees political mobilization and new left-wing electoral pact

In Valencia, political mobilization and electoral restructuring are shaping the regional landscape. On April 25, more than 10,000 people participated in a large-scale demonstration in the streets of Valencia. The event, characterized by a significant presence of young people, focused on themes of independence and the unity of the Catalan Countries, alongside initiatives like the Correllengua Agermanat to defend the language.

Simultaneously, left-wing political forces in the region have reached a strategic agreement for the upcoming elections on November 29. The newly formed coalition, named ‘Compromís Front Valencià’, brings together Compromís, Esquerra Unida, Podem, and ERPV. This pact aims to present a single left-wing ticket to the left of the PSPV in the constituencies of Valencia, Castellón, and Alicante, marking a departure from the political fragmentation seen in other parts of Spain.
