Valencia to host 2026 Carrera de Carritos

YMCA Valencia has confirmed the return of the traditional Carrera de Carritos for 2026. Following a successful reactivation in 2025, the competition will once again take place on Avenida Cedeño in Valencia, Venezuela.

Executive Director Elías Polo announced that the event will be a free, non-profit competition featuring Junior and Senior categories. Participants will race wooden and fiberglass carts, with judging based on aerodynamics, speed, and driving skill.

In addition to the sporting aspect, the event will serve a social purpose by acting as an official collection center for non-perishable food and supplies to assist communities affected by recent earthquakes along the coastal axis of Carabobo and Guaira.
