Valencia to host III Artisan Bread Fair

The III Artisan Bread Fair will take place in Valencia's Plaza del Ayuntamiento on Thursday, October 15. Organized by the Gremio de Panaderos y Pasteleros de Valencia to mark World Bread Day and World Food Day, the free event aims to highlight the value of traditional ovens as part of the region's gastronomic and cultural heritage.

The program includes exhibitions, tastings by master bakers, and discussions regarding the future of the craft. A key session, ‘Bread with a future: sustainability, innovation and new opportunities’, will be presented by Francisca Rández, a food biotechnology researcher from the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC). The initiative is supported by the Conselleria de Agricultura, Agua, Ganadería y Pesca, the Diputación de Valencia, and the Valencia City Council.
