Valencia to host World Paella Day 2026 with international chefs

Valencia will host the World Paella Day on September 20, 2026, at Plaça de l’Aigua in La Marina. The event features the World Paella Day Cup, where chefs from twelve different countries will prepare unique versions of the dish.

Participating nations include Uruguay, Brazil, Romania, France, Mexico, Japan, Ecuador, Denmark, Bulgaria, Colombia, and the United Kingdom. Rather than debating which recipe is superior, the competition aims to showcase how the traditional Valencian dish has evolved globally, incorporating local products and techniques from each participant's home country. A jury will select the winner of the 2026 Cup.
