Valencia universities move to online classes due to flooding
Universities in Valencia and the surrounding metropolitan area have suspended in-person classes due to heavy rainfall and flooding. The Universitat de València (UV) and the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) have transitioned teaching activities to online formats where possible to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff.
The decision aims to prevent travel during significant mobility issues caused by weather-related disruptions and flooding in various communication routes. Similarly, the Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche suspended morning activities across its four campuses in Altea, Elche, Orihuela, and Sant Joan following an orange weather alert.
